14 hours of cycling every day to go round Sicily

first_img SharePrint Athlete Fabio Spiteri cycled for 14 hours a day for three days in order to do the 1,000 kilometer distance around Sicily.During an interview with Sylvana Debono on RTK, the first athlete to complete this challenge explains that training entailed cycling his bike for three hours a day along the Żebbuġ Bypass and the Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq Coast Road.He explained that the plan during the challenge was to start cycling at 5am, in order to avoid the heat. He expected to cycle around 30km per hour, depending on the wind strength and whether it rained.Fabio Spiteri has been involved in sports for the past 22 years.
