UPDATE: The missing man’s name is Rene Cote. He is described as Caucasian, 5’5″ tall and weighs around 140 lbs. He has brown hair and hazel eyes. He also has a moustache and greying stubble. Hudson’s Hope RCMP has launched a search for a man described as an avid outdoorsman who went missing Saturday near the W.A.C Bennett Dam.- Advertisement -Police say a 42-year-old resident of Hudson’s Hope was reported missing in the evening of Aug. 6 after taking off after having a bad day. He was last seen at 6:30 p.m. and his truck was later found near power lines by the 400 Road.The North Peace Search and Rescue has been called in for the search, along with an RCMP helicopter and dog teams.Anyone with information about the unnamed man’s whereabouts is asked to contact Hudson’s Hope RCMP at 250-783-5241.
The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has reversed its earlier stand that international STEM students undergoing optional practical training (OPT) cannot be placed at customer work sites.
