The actor-turned-politician took to Instagram to post a picture of herself on social media with an image of Lord Ganesha in the background, wishing fans a happy Ganesh Chaturthi.Nusrat wrote, “May the lord bless us all with good health & happiness #happyganeshchaturthi #ganpatibappamorya.”Right after Nusrat posted on Instagram, wishes started pouring in from fans. A fan wrote, “Ganpati bapppa moryaaaa…..” Another one wrote, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.” One more fan wrote, “Happy Ganesh Chaturthi.” A fan wrote “Very pretty n beautiful happy Ganesh chaturthi to you and your whole family.”(sic) Nusrat married Kolkata-based entrepreneur Nikhil Jain in Turkey on June 19. She took oath as Trinamool Congress MP in Parliament on June 25. At the oath-taking ceremony, she was trolled for sporting sindoor.Nusrat, however, lashed out at the trolls and said that she represent inclusive India.She said, “I represent an inclusive India which is beyond the barriers of caste, creed and religion.”Nusrat Jahan further said that she respects all the religions and “still remain a Muslim”. “None should comment on what I chose to wear.
