In the second half we needed to defend manfully at times and we did that as well.“It’s great to get the win – not just the victory but the performance we put on tonight.”Romaine Sawyers scored Brentford’s second goalBut there is concern for Macleod, who was stretchered off late in the match with what appeared to be a serious knee injury.Sidelined for much of his time at Brentford, the midfielder now appears to be facing another long spell out of action.“He was on crutches and in a brace. He said he felt a click in his knee,” said Smith.“It doesn’t sound great but I’m hoping it’s nothing long term. We won’t know anything until he’s had a scan.” See also:Brentford’s derby triumph: as it happenedBees beat woeful QPR in derby clash’Pressure’ will not help QPR – HasselbainkBrentford defeat worse than Newcastle thrashing – HasselbainkQPR v Brentford player ratingsBees man steps up fitness bid and scores in win over ReadingOur west London Championship team of the week  Ads by Revcontent Trending Articles Urologists: Men, Forget the Blue Pill!
